Bill Louden is a 30-year veteran of the Digital Media and Internet industries serving in such capacities as president of global business unit for General Electric Company, and senior vice president of a News Corp. Internet division. He began his career in Japan and has developed or led business units in Asia, Europe, and Central America. A Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and member of the UT CIBER advisory board, Bill currently serves as Department Chair, International Business for Austin Community College. He holds a Master, International Management degree from the University of Maryland.
The International Business Institute (IBI) at Austin Community College offers an Association Applied Science degree in international business as well as continuing education for business professionals. Courses include the dynamic global environment of business, international economics and finance, international law, import/export trade, global e-commerce, as well as specialized regional studies on how to do business throughout the world. IBI also offers special exam preparation courses to prepare professionals for such certifications as Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and Customs Broker License, among others.
