Carlos Silva has over 28 years of experience in sales, operations, project management and finance in the heavy equipment, civil engineering consulting, truck rental & leasing and automotive industries in the U.S. and Latin America. He also has experience in participating on boards and with management teams in both profit and non-profit organizations. He is fluent in English and Spanish. Carlos founded USATEQ in 2010 to satisfy customers' equipment needs by delivering heavy equipment solutions, focusing initially on used machines for infrastructure construction companies in Latin America through combined expertise in business development, operations improvement, costs control and assets coordination and deployment. Carlos holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellin, Colombia) and a Master of International Business from the Chapman Graduate School of Business at Florida International University (Miami, Florida.) Carlos has been engaged with the community with different organizations; he was an active member of the San Antonio Water System's Community Conservation Committee for 6 years, was Chair as well. He is an active member of the Free Trade Alliance participating in the Mexico Group. Carlos is a member of the Texas Camino Real District Export Council.
USATEQ LLC is a company located in San Antonio and chartered in Texas in February 2010 to serve customers in the construction industry in Texas and Latin America. USTEQ represents American manufacturers: RHINO equipment, ROADWIDENER machines and MADDOCK milling attachments and machines, TRIASO asphalt plants and crushers made in Mexico. Those machines have been designed to achieve both operational and costs efficiencies in road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance projects. Also, USATEQ sells used heavy equipment overseas.
