- Nathan Muncaster of Polyguard will give an overview of the importance of a fully functional ExIm Bank, and relate Polyguard’s experience using the ExIm Bank’s credit insurance program. Polyguard is a manufacturer of specialty anti-corrosion and building products that exports to ~ 30 countries per year. Polyguard has received 2 Presidential Export Achievement Awards, has experienced 24 years of unbroken sales expansion, and is an almost 12-year customer of the ExIm Bank for receivables insurance.
- Gabriel Ojeda of Fritz-Pak will discuss US trade figures vis a vis other economies and how it relates to their economies’ interconnectivity with the global economy, impact on per capita incomes, plus Fritz-Pak’s own experiences with the ExIm Bank’s credit insurance. Gabriel is President and CEO of Fritz-Pak Corporation, which manufactures concrete admixtures in powdered form. Fritz-Pak Corporation is located in Mesquite and was established in 1998. Fritz-Pak has exported to over 30 countries in the world and currently 30% of revenue is derived from exports. Largest export market is Canada, were they will be opening an office and warehouse in 2017 to better serve their customers. Fritz-Pak uses EXIM insurance for their receivables. Gabriel was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Export-Import Bank of the United States from 2015-2016.
- David Ickert of Air Tractor will tell of how Air Tractor grew their export business from 10% to > 50% of sales with the ExIm Bank Financing tools and that these export sales have created important job growth for their company. David is the Vice President of Finance for Air Tractor Inc, a manufacturer of agricultural and forestry airplanes. The company has been in business since 1972, employs 250 people, and has produced and sold over 3,000 airplanes. Air Tractors are sold throughout the world with planes operating in U.S., Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain and other countries. Air Tractor has utilized programs of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (“Ex-Im”), internally financed and cash sales as funding sources for international sales – with the main resource being medium term credit insurance from Ex-Im. With the help of Ex-Im products, over 50% of production is export.
- Justin Lumadue of the US Chamber of Commerce will bring the legislative perspective to the event, explaining and showing context of the issues surrounding full authorization of the ExIm Bank. Justin is a director in the Congressional and Public Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He serves as the Chamber’s chief lobbyist on issues related to travel and tourism, including reducing barriers that deter business and tourism, and multiple customs and immigration programs. In addition, he has served as the associate editor of the National Business Agenda, a former Chamber publication outlining major legislative and regulatory priorities.
