Jamie A. Joiner is the founding attorney of Joiner Law Firm PLLC in Houston, Texas, practicing in the area of international trade regulation. She advises both domestic and foreign companies on U.S. trade laws and regulations. Jamie has experience in representing companies before the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), OFAC, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection on penalty actions, export license applications, ruling and classification requests, protests, and other matters. Jamie also has experience in assisting companies in establishing export and import compliance procedures. She has advised and assisted companies from various industry sectors including aerospace, automotive, petrochemical, electronics, telecommunications and transportation, including freight forwarders and customs brokers, and is a licensed U.S. customs broker. Jamie is a member of the Texas State Bar and is admitted to practice before the Court of International Trade and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the American, Federal, International, and Houston Bar Associations, and regularly volunteers her time with the Export Legal Assistance Network, a pro bono program of the Federal Bar Association designed to assist and advise U.S. companies new to exporting.
