Jorge Canavati is President of J.Canavati & Co., LLC, which is a firm dedicated to the development of international logistics (air logistics & intermodal) and trade projects. Mr. Canavati was previously Vice President of Business Development at the Port Authority of San Antonio. Mr. Canavati has almost 30 years of experience in multimodal transportation, air cargo and logistics. He is the author of various articles and editorials on Mexico trade and transportation issues. Mr. Canavati is on the board of various international trade organizations and is the official U.S. representative of the National Importers and Exporters Association of Mexico, ANIERM. Mr. Canavati is the chairperson of the Supply Chain Management Council of the Free Trade Alliance in San Antonio and the has been chairperson of the steering subcommittee of Multimodal Corridor Development of Mexico sanctioned by the Ministry of Transportation and Communication of Mexico (SCT). He serves on the Air Cargo Committee of Airports Council International (ACI). He serves on the Border Trade Advisory Committee (Texas Transportation Commission) appointed by Texas Secretary of State Hope Andrade. He is past-chair of the Business Career Pathway Advisory Committee of Kennedy High School Mr. Canavati attended the Metropolitan University of Mexico City, Mexico City, and Our Lady of the Lake University, Houston, Texas. He has been married for 26 years to Daisy Miriam and has three children, Jorge Mauricio, Gabriela Sofia and Fritz his beloved dog.
