Jose Luis Carbonell
Jose Luis Carbonell is an attorney with Scott Hulse Law firm's Business Section and a member of the firm's Board of Directors. He has dual offices in San Antonio and El Paso. His law practice encompasses international and cross-border business; export control and import control; mergers and acquisitions; immigration; corporate and securities; aerospace, defense and government contracts; manufacturing and real estate. His fluency in both English and Spanish is a key asset in working with businesses and other law firms in both the U.S. and Mexico. In international and cross-border business, Jose Luis has represented a variety of companies in U.S.-Mexico cross-border matters related to maquiladora operations, contract manufacturing, shelter agreements, and international mergers and acquisitions. He is experienced in export licenses under ITAR, EAR and other export control laws. He has assisted in the formation of various business entities, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, international distribution agreements and more. His international experience includes assisting U.S. companies in doing business in countries around the world, including, without limitation, Mexico, Europe and China. Jose Luis has participated in seminars and conferences throughout the U.S. and Mexico, in which he has addressed issues related to cross-border transactions and international law.
