Mark Nicholas has a BS and MS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a registered professional engineer in Texas. He has worked in the engineering and construction business for twenty-five years. In 1996 he and his partner Ramon Valles formed Nicholas Consulting Group. Mark Nicholas has been working to expand his business into the international area. This has included utilizing the Gold Key Services in Venezuela and attending trade conferences in the Middle East. As a result of contacts made at a trade conference in Kuwait, his company was awarded a contract to engineer and fabricate equipment for the Buzurgan Power Plat in Iraq. Mark Nicholas was one of the co-founders of the Permian Basin International Business Association and was involved in getting the Department Of Commerce to open the West Texas USEAC.
