Michael Skelton has over 30 years of technology business experience. He has raised millions of dollars of venture capital and private equity to start new technology companies and turnaround struggling businesses. Mr. Skelton has been an executive in two technology company IPOs and has orchestrated several M&A transactions.
Mr. Skelton is currently the Vice President of International Business Development for the Richardson Texas Chamber of Commerce. He also heads up the Mayor’s Office of International Business for the Richardson Texas Economic Development Partnership. His responsibilities include recruitment of foreign companies (foreign direct investment) into the city of Richardson and assisting local companies with their globalization and export initiatives.
His background includes being President and CEO of three start-up software companies CaminoSoft, Menta Software and Trace Point Technology as well as the VP/General Manager of the Laser Optic Filing Systems division of Tab Products Company a publicly traded firm. As a VP and Director level executive he has lead sales, marketing, business development and field operations for companies including Net Manage, Santa Cruz Operations (SCO), Entre Computer Centers and Altos Computer Systems.
Mr. Skelton's background also includes President/Founder of EstablishUS LLC, an international economic development consulting firm and interim executive level business consulting for Neopost (French company), Brixlogic (French company), GA eXpress (U.S. public company) and Holontech (Japanese company).
Michael Skelton has a degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
