Description:
The North Texas DEC
will hold an event on the consequences faced by U.S.
exporters for failing to comply with U.S. export
control laws.
Compliance with U.S. export control laws has in
recent years become of ever increasing importance
for U.S. exporters large and small. The consequences
of failing to comply with these laws can often be
severe. A panel of speakers from relevant
government export control enforcement agencies will
discuss what these consequences are as well as the
role of their agencies in export compliance
enforcement. There will also be speakers from
private industry who will give their insights into
the effect these consequences can have on the
operations of U.S. exporters.
You will hear from speakers from the Dallas Export
Enforcement Office of the Bureau of Industry and
Security, from ICE Homeland Security
Investigations, and from the Federal Bureau of
Investigation. You will also hear the lessons one
DFW company learned from its own compliance failure
experience.
It is critical for you and your company to be
knowledgeable as to these consequences as export
compliance failure is not an option.
